About Dr. Andrew Keiner, AuD

Dr. Andrew Keiner, AuD, earned his Doctorate in Audiology at the University of Iowa after completing his undergraduate degree at Iowa State University. His clinical training includes an externship at the Iowa City VA hospital, and his research background centers on tinnitus, hyperacusis, and cochlear implants.

He worked as a research assistant at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and also conducted research at a hospital in Piacenza, Italy, studying how cochlear implantation may affect tinnitus. He has presented tinnitus research nationally and internationally.

At Merit Hearing, Dr. Keiner, AuD, provides temporary professional coverage when a clinic’s regularly assigned audiologist is unavailable, including vacations, maternity leaves, and other staffing gaps. His assignments vary, so he does not maintain a routine patient schedule at any location.
